The String Editor is invoked from either the HTML Editor or the Table Editor whenever the text (long string) is present in a attribute (text is => 50 characters) and is provided as a convenience. A example of a long string in a HTML is shown:
Note: Text Fields of less than 80 characters are edited in-situ in both the table and HTML editors.
The String editor displays the following Window when opened:
The String Editor Window's title bar indicates the name of the attribute being edited as shown:
Closes the editor window and saves all changes made to the attribute being edited.
If all the text is removed (the editor window is empty) then this will remove the attribute value when the entry is updated.
Clicking this button removes all current edits and restores the string to its original state (when the string editor was invoked). Further edits may be applied as required.
Copies the selected text (highlighted in blue) to the system clipboard where it may be pasted into an appropriate application or into another attribute field.
Pastes the contents of the system clipboard at the insertion point (highlighted in yellow in the illustrated window):
Unconditionally closes the editor window without saving any user changes. The attribute field is unchanged.
