W3C Event Reference. Part of the Events Interface.

removeEventListener Method

Removes an event handler function from the specified object (element). The remove method parameters should be exactly the same as the addEventListener method parameters.

Syntax

object.removeEventListener(type, function, capture)

type event type, in quotes, as used in the addEventListener method.
function the function name from the addEventListener method
capture ?? ??

Examples

window.removeEventListener("mousemove",follow,false);

Removes the event listener for mousemove from the window object. Stops calling follow().
